I wrote another short story on Figment. This one was for the Dark Unwinding Short-Story Contest. The goal was to write a 1,200 words or less short story inspired by the striking settings described in THE DARK UNWINDING by Sharon Cameron. I had to write a story that took place in a idyllic English village, a crumbling mansion or a secret passageway. My story contains two elements. I’ve read Cameron’s delightful dark and imaginative novel (review to come). To read my short story, Lauren’s Hope, click on the cover below the synopsis. I’m planning on developing the piece into a longer story.
Synopsis: In an idyllic English country home, a teenager makes a dark discovery that will change her life forever.
