The second day of First Come, Second Served is devoted to a Fantasy Movie Cast. The book I am reading this week is BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
The Caster Chronicles series features fascinating and rich main characters, including well-developed side characters — from the viscous girls at Ethan’s high school, his crazy elderly Aunts (Grace, Prudence and Mercy), the mocking and prejudice townspeople of Gatlin, Ethan’s sad father who’s locked himself away from the world since he’s wife’s death to Lena’s unusual and supernatural family members.
BEAUTIFUL CREATURES has been optioned to be made into a major motion picture by Warner Bros. Richard LaGravanese (The Mirror Has Two Faces, P.S. I Love You, Water for Elephants, Liberace) has been hired to pen the screenplay.
