Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine.
I know I’m probably dating myself but when I was a teenager I loved Christopher Pike’s books. No, not the ones recently reissued. I’m talking about the original Christopher Pike books — from the 80s and 90s.
Just hearing these titles: REMEMBER ME, GIMME A KISS, CHAIN LETTER, WEEKEND and DIE SOFTLY, I go back in time.
Along with Nancy Drew, Christopher Pike’s books inspired me to be a writer.
This September Pike has a new book coming out,
THE SECRET OF KA, featuring genies and magic carpets set in the Middle East, and of course a new literary crush.
Book: The Secret of Ka
Author: Christopher Pike
Publisher: Harcourt Children’s Books
Pub. Date: September 13, 2010

THE SECRET OF KA is definitely different from Pike’s previous books — which fall into the thriller and horror genres.
However, if you are interested in reading some of them several titles have been repackaged as two new anthologies: REMEMBER ME and TO DIE FOR.
Book: Remember Me
